Os Beach Boys ficaram conhecidos não apenas pelo talento de Bryan Wilson, mas pelo requinte das vocalizações, herança dos velhos quartetos de barbearia, Ink Spots ou Four Aces. Trabalhava com eles um Jan Berry, que cantava com seu irmão Dean em festinhas sob o nome de Barons. The Beach Boys were known nor only for Bryan Wilson’s talent, but their perfect vocalizations, a heritage from the old barbershop quartets, Ink Spots or Four Aces. Worked with them a certain Jan Berry, who used to sing with brother Dean in parties under the name of the Barons. The nearness of the Beach Boys helped the surfing brothers to release their own group, simply called Jan and Dean. They happened to count with the supervision of fabulous Herb Alpert, so nothing could go wrong. In 1959 they got a honorable tenth place on the charts, Baby Talk, but re-inventing the classics of Beach Boys they would be allowed into the History of Rock.
