In 1965 young Americans imagined an alternative community to consumerism society, based on the natives, old lords of the country. Yup, I’m talking about the hippie movement, the California sun, the experiences with a large spectrum of toxics (to “clear” one’s mind), and psychedelic art. Music was one of the instruments to write down in History the anguish of those youngsters, like “The Catcher In The Rye” was a kind of Bible, “Easy Rider” the image on the screen, Huxley e Leary their gurus. Originally formed by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutsmann and Pigpen McKernan, the Grateful Dead broke up in 1995, when Jerry Garcia finally became a “grateful dead”.
