O Black Eyed Peas é um conjunto recente de Hip Hop (1995), composto por Will.I.Am, Apl.de.ap, Taboo, e Fergie. Por trás destes nomes no mínimo originais, está um grupo que surpreende pela atenção ao que está acontecendo pelo mundo. Aqui no Brasil nós nos sentimos especialmente ligados ao BEP, por dois motivos: a relação deles com o querido Sergio Mendes e agora pelas vozes e canções (no caso, o artista Will I Am) do clássico Rio the Movie. Excelência, eis o que se pode dizer do filme e da direção sensível do Carlos Saldanha. É um produto carioca em cada fotograma. Quem não viu, vá correndo antes que só reste ver a versão em 2D. Se eu tivesse dez polegares, estariam todos voltados para cima.

Behind these original names, lies a group that surprises us by their attention to what’s happening around the world. Here in Brazil we feel particularly attached to the BEP, for two reasons: their relation with beloved Sergio Mendes and now for voices and songs (in this case, the crooner Will I Am) in the classic Rio the Movie. Excellence, this is what can be told about the picture and Carlos Saldanha’s sensible direction. It is a bona fide carioca product in every frame. If you didn’t see it, rush to the cinema before there is just a 2D DVD version. If I had ten thumbs, they would all be pointing up.
