FESTIVAL DE ROCK - THE ROLLING STONES

Os Rolling Stones eram chamados, em 1962, de apóstolos dos Beatles, porque estavam sempre a um álbum atrás dos Fab 4: estes se baseavam em música clássica, os Rolling Stones lançavam um LP do mesmo estilo. Um dizia Let It Be, os Rolling Stones respondiam Let It Bleed, como se quisessem caracterizar como os anti-Beatles, uns anjos, os outros demônios. Chegaram a declarar simpatia pelo diabo, como se os Beatles fossem os filhinhos de mamãe, bem comportados, bem vestidos... Uma série de mortes pra lá de misteriosas vieram dar o tom macabro aos Rolling Stones. Numa de suas apresentações, debaixo da segurança dos Hell’s Angels, um fã acabou sendo morto. Era coincidência demais. Mas o tempo foi passando, e o rosto andrógino de Mick Jagger ficou marcado pelas rugas inevitáveis. Os Rolling Stones nunca pararam, nem parecem ter este plano. A cada apresentação, eles desafiam o peso da idade, como se tivessem vendido a alma em troca da eterna juventude. O ápice da carreira ocorreu no show em plena Copacabana (2006), sendo visto por quase 2 milhões de pessoas, um recorde na história dos shows. Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman e Charlie Watts são a formação histórica que nunca conseguiu satisfação.

The Rolling Stones were called, in 1962, apostles of the Beatles, because they were always one album before the Fab 4: would these record à la classical, the Rolling Stones would release a LP in the same style. One said Let It Be, the Rolling Stones would answer Let It Bleed, establishing themselves as anti-Beatles, angels and devils. They would declare sympathy for the devil, leaving the Beatles the image of spoiled brats, well groomed, proper behavior... A series of mysterious deaths would paint black the picture of the Rolling Stones. In one of the shows, under the security of the Hell’s Angels, a fan was assassinated. Too much of a coincidence. But time has passed, and the androgynous face of Mick Jagger is now wrinkled as a dry prune. The Rolling Stones never stopped, though, and this seems out of their plans. Each new show, they defy the weight of age, as if they had sold their soul in exchange of eternal youth. The Everest of their career was a show in Copacabana Beach (2006), attended by nearly 2 million people, a record in the Rock History. Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts were the historical formation that never, ever, got no satisfaction.
