O Festival de Woodstock revelou para o mundo uma série de grupos e cantores, entre eles o Jefferson Airplane. Finalmente os Estados Unidos eram invadidos por uma banda americana! Pioneiros do movimento psicodélico, eles mudaram de nome mais tarde para Jefferson Starship, para Starship e então para Jefferson Starship The Next Generation. Não tem problema. Psicodélico é assim mesmo. Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen, Signe Toly Anderson, Jerry Peloquin e Bob Harvey eram a formação original. Como todos, houve muitas mudanças, sendo a mais interessante a saída do Signe para entrar a cantora Grace Slick.

Pioneers of the psychedelic movement, they changed their name in the years to come to Jefferson Starship, to Starship and then Jefferson Starship The Next Generation. No problem. That’s psychedelic. Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen, Signe Toly Anderson, Jerry Peloquin and Bob Harvey were the original members. As everybody else, there were many changes, being the most interesting when Signe left to give space to the crooner Grace Slick.
